Speech Therapy

Our Speech-Language Pathologists are skilled in addressing speech, language, and feeding difficulties, including uncovering the cause for these difficulties and designing a plan for intervention. They help children with developing functional communication, social skills, improved academic engagement and success, more diverse diets, and increased nutritional intake, leading to improved quality of life for the children and their families. Our team of SLPs offer comprehensive, specialized care in a variety of areas, such as:

  • Language Therapy: Receptive & Expressive Language Delay
  • Articulation & Speech Sound Disorders
  • Phonological Disorders
  • Voice/Fluency
  • AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices, strategies, tools, and systems)
  • Oral Motor/Feeding Therapy

In addition, JMS has a speech language therapist on staff who is a level 3 certified Talk Tools therapist. Talk Tools is a specialized program utilizing Oral-Placement Therapy (OPT) techniques, training, and tools, which add a tactile component to feeding and speech therapy, facilitating development of speech clarity.
